Disclosure/Advisory
Artists and researchers Ana Regina Arcanjo and Lygia Peçanha launch, in São Luís, the book I am a street woman. I walk almost naked because I am a raw woman. The publication brings together memories, orality, popular culture, spirituality and experiences lived in the Historic Center of the capital of Maranhão.

The book transforms the conversation into a narrative experience crossed by the daily ways of life in Maranhão, revealing knowledge, affections and practices that often remain on the margins of official narratives about heritage and urban space.
The publication initially appeared as part of the collection Amor Público (2023), organized by the #Joyces collective, which brings together different perspectives on love, sexuality and affection in public space, politics and society. Among the texts that make up the collection, the interview with Regina Arcanjo was chosen to receive its own edition and translation into Spanish.
