Students from a public school in Quixadá, in the interior of Ceará, created an application to help exchange stickers from the 2026 World Cup album. The project was developed by elementary school students from Escola José Jucá in partnership with the Quixadá Technological Station.
The application is called “The Cup JJ 26 Official Album” and was developed based on the ideas of the students themselves. For security reasons, the app works exclusively for school students.

In the application, students can mark which stickers they have repeated so that their classmates know which ones interest them. The program also provides geographic and cultural information about the countries participating in the World Cup.

The idea arose at the Quixadá Technological Station - municipal equipment aimed at strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship in the Sertão Central region. The equipment operates through a partnership between Quixadá City Hall, higher education institutions located in the municipality and entities that promote entrepreneurship.
Technology and football
The application was designed by Artur de Medeiros, coordinator of the Technological Station, and software engineer and businessman Isaac James, founder of the startup Blue Business App, which works on municipal equipment. “Nothing more opportune to combine technology, education and the World Cup”, said Artur.
The idea came from a need that Station participants perceived to reinforce dialogue and partnership with schools in the municipality. Therefore, they approached the Quixadá Department of Education to present the proposal.
"The main objective was to stimulate children's logical and computational thinking. It was very rewarding to participate in this workshop and see the sparkle in the students' eyes. This experience showed how technology can spark creativity, learning and new opportunities", commented Isaac James.
The José Jucá school was chosen because it recently started offering robotics classes for students. In the unit, the developers noticed that the majority of students were interested in the World Cup album. “When we asked [the students], 80% of the class had the sticker album”, recalled Artur.
The coordinator explained the decision made so that the application only works for school students. "It could very well be open today within the entire city, but, for safety reasons, they raised the issue of not knowing who is on the other side. So, they closed it inside the school today", he detailed.
"No photo of anyone appears; only their name and grade. It's internal to them, only they have access, along with their registration number and login", explained the coordinator.
‘Cool way to study’
Arthur de Queiroz, 14 years old, was one of the students who participated in the creation of the application.

One of the students who participated in the development of the “Official Album The Cup JJ 26” was Arthur de Queiroz, 14 years old. The teenager is a student in the 9th year of elementary school at the school.
“It was a really cool, collective experience, a really fun way to create this app, which we had with the Technological Station,” said the student.
“For me, it's a cool way to study geography, in a very light, quick way, which introduces us to being more curious about the country, like, we want to have more knowledge about Brazil”, reinforced the student.
Arthur also commented that he has always been interested in technology and follows football. Therefore, he appreciated the chance to participate in the development of the project even more. “Like it or not, it opens the doors for us, people who like the area, to like it even more, to want to delve deeper”, highlighted the student.
Another experience he highlighted was the possibility of interacting with students from other classes and grades. "During the development of the application, we had interactions with people from different classes, from sixth years to ninth years. This was good to be able to see other people's views, what they think, see the opinion of each age group", added Arthur.
