The soldier was rescued and was hospitalized in Goiânia, but he did not resist and died in the capital. In a statement, the corporation reported that the captain was committed and passionate about his profession, as well as an exemplary soldier. The Road Policing Command of the Military Police of the State of Goiás wished that the soldier's trajectory would continue and expressed solidarity with the commander's family.
