“The measures taken in France are disproportionate”: a French couple, in isolation after having been in contact with hantavirus, does not understand why they must remain confined despite repeated tests which are negative

The French passengers of the boat the Hondius on which 3 people died after contracting the hantavirus are still confined at Bichat hospital. A sick passenger is still in intensive care in stable condition. The other 4 are fine. Roland and Julia, the veterinarian couple, do not understand that it lasts so long and ask to continue their confinement at home. According to the Prime Minister's decree relating to hantavirus, cruise passengers can be confined to hospital for 42 days. They should therefore be released no later than June 22. Magali Chalais
