LG Electronics announced on the 2nd that it recently opened a new ‘Heating, Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Academy’ in Taichung, Taiwan and Singapore. This is to build business-to-business (B2B) infrastructure in response to urbanization and increased demand for industrial infrastructure. The strategy is to expand contacts with local B2B officials by inviting installation engineer forums and consultants in charge of air conditioning design and holding seminars through the newly established academy. LG Electronics is expanding its global HVAC academy. In May of this year, a new academy was opened in Poznań, Poland. The HVAC Academy is also being expanded to the ‘Global South’ region, which is emerging as a new market, such as Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire and Santiago, Chile. LG Electronics operates about 70 academies in over 40 countries, including Asia, Europe, North America, and Africa. We train more than 30,000 engineers every year through training in heating and cooling system installation and maintenance, and design engineering technology.
