According to the Fire Department, the part of the structure that collapsed corresponds to 60% of the length, which is around 139 meters. The Civil Police opened an investigation to determine the causes of the accident, while the Public Ministry of Acre (MP-AC) opened proceedings and requested an expert opinion from the DNIT to verify whether there were flaws in the project, the execution of the work or the materials used.
