The suspect had difficulty presenting any documentation to prove the statement, while the team provided assistance, said Élita. Afterwards, she allegedly told GCM that she was, in fact, the child's nanny. Élita also highlighted that the girl also had some bruises on her body that appeared to be old. "A report from the doctor was that the fact that a bruise was purple means that the injury had happened days ago", highlighted the counselor. The suspect also said that the father was the one who asked her to take the girl to the hospital and initially reported that a mirror fell on the child, but health professionals found the injuries incompatible with her claim.
