During the day, Cenipa, which is investigating the causes of the tragedy, collected parts from the two helicopters for forensic examination. The accident occurred on Sunday (15) morning, just before 9am. A security camera recorded the moment the aircraft hit mid-air. In another image, one of them already appears falling.

The Civil Police are also investigating the accident. The delegate responsible for the case has already heard from the owners of the helicopters. Now, he is trying to find out if Rio's airport control towers recorded any dialogue between the two pilots. The police confirm that the documentation for the two helicopters and the pilots was in order.
The delegate also investigates whether the transponder of the two aircraft was turned on - the equipment provides data such as altitude, speed and identification - and waits for the flight plans to be sent that determine the route that each helicopter should follow.
"In the sky there are roads that have to be respected. It's as if they were streets, the equivalent of streets on the ground. If one of the aircraft is not on the proper path, on the proper street, it's as if it were a signal advance from the equipment that is violating that aviation standard, causing an accident", explains delegate Alan Luxardo.
