In the notice of absence, Naumi stated that he will "take a few days off to take care of his health and ensure a complete recovery".

Heart attack
Naumi was hospitalized last Tuesday (2) after suffering an acute myocardial infarction. According to information from the first lady, Érika Amorim (Republicans), Naumi underwent emergency catheterization and stent implantation surgery.
The initial forecast was that he would be discharged on Friday (5) and return to work next week, but medical plans were changed.
According to the first lady, Naumi would also not ask for temporary leave from city hall. This was not confirmed, and the manager left.
Also on Tuesday, Naumi's social media profile published a message stating that the mayor had experienced "a health scare", but that he was recovering and following medical advice.
"I'm going to take advantage of the holiday to slow down, but next Monday I'll be back in the rush, God willing. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the messages, prayers and demonstrations of affection", said the manager.
Naumi was elected state deputy in 2014. In 2016, he ran for mayor of Caucaia and was elected. In 2020, he ran for re-election, but was defeated by Vitor Valim. In the 2024 municipal elections, Valim did not seek re-election, and Naumi was elected mayor of Caucaia in the second round against Waldemir Catanho (PT).
