In a note, Beatriz Ramos Hospital, where the young woman sought care for four days, said that it will request a copy of the survey to "evaluate the adoption of any additional measures that prove necessary, without prejudice to the administrative measures already adopted internally" (read the full note at the end of the text). However, in Maria's case, as she was experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, because she had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, the patient was already hospitalized, which was not done. The Scientific Police also pointed out that it was during her second trip to the hospital that the possibility of her having dengue fever was considered. However, no examination was carried out for an exact diagnosis. Third day - April 1 During this trip to the hospital, no type of exam was carried out and the patient was sent home despite complaining of pain and tiredness, which was considered a failure by the Scientific Police. She went to the hospital in the morning and afternoon. Fourth day - April 2 On the morning of the 2nd, the family decides to go to the health center that provided Maria's prenatal care. The patient received serum and was taken again to Beatriz Ramos Hospital. Maria was treated urgently and, in less than an hour, the family was informed that she had a serious generalized infection. The patient was transferred by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) to Hospital Santo Antônio, in Blumenau, a city neighboring Indaial.
