The deadline for adhesion of education networks interested in using the scores of participants in the National Teaching Test (PND) to select teachers for basic education ends this Wednesday (17). Adhesion is voluntary and must be done exclusively through the Integrated Monitoring, Execution and Control System of the Ministry of Education (Simec), using the password for the Gov.br platform. Related news: MEC extends the deadline for education networks to join the PND until the 17th. PND 2026: DF, states and municipalities have until the 31st to join the test. The PND was created to support public networks in hiring teachers and contribute to qualifying entry into the teaching career across the country. The results of each edition of the exam are valid for three years. The exam can replace objective and discursive tests for selections for basic education teachers carried out by education networks. >> Follow the Agência Brasil channel on WhatsApp Permanent membership Municipal, state and Federal District networks that have already formalized adherence to the PND, in 2025, must again express interest in using the PND score, through the same official MEC system, respecting the new deadline. Last year, 1,508 municipalities and 22 states joined the PND. The MEC highlights that permanent membership can be canceled at any time, through Simec. Next steps The MEC will publish the list of joined entities before the registration period for participants in the PND, which begins on June 22nd. The test will be held on September 20th by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep). There are two blocks: General teacher training: 30 objective questions and one more discursive one, which assesses pedagogical skills, understanding of themes from the Brazilian and global reality, written communication and logical reasoning.  Specific components: 50 objective questions designed to evaluate learning in one of the 21 areas of knowledge chosen by the candidate.  The test is part of the actions of the More Teachers for Brazil Program. Public policy aims to strengthen teacher training, encourage the entry of teachers into public education and value teaching professionals.
