In Mali, the Supreme Court refuses to rule on the case of Clément Dembélé, an anti-corruption activist in prison since November 2023. Suspected of having threatened to kill the transitional president, General Assimi Goïta, in a recording which circulated on social networks, Clément Dembélé was quickly cleared. The Malian justice system even ordered his release, but his legal adventures never ended. This June 15, a new episode, grotesque to say the least, played out before the Supreme Court. Result: this figure of civil society is kept in prison.
