A 26-year-old man was arrested during Operation Protector, suspected of drug trafficking in the municipality of Santana. The action was carried out this Sunday (14) and included information from the police intelligence sector, which pointed to intense activity linked to drug trafficking in the region close to the trail.
According to police, upon arriving at the scene, teams spotted the suspect at the entrance to a bridge. Upon noticing the presence of the agents, he ran and jumped into a lake, and was then approached. During the personal search, two pieces of stones were found, believed to be crack cocaine.

When asked about the materials, the suspect reported that he kept the drugs and indicated an abandoned residence where he had buried more drugs. At the scene, police located large packages containing several portions of crack.
The man was taken to Ciosp de Santana for procedures. The operation was carried out by the Tactical Air Group (GTA), 4th PM Battalion and the Intelligence and Operations Coordination (Ciop).
