A 23-year-old man was arrested red-handed by the Civil Police in the center of Muriaé, suspected of transporting synthetic drugs from the state of Rio de Janeiro to Minas Gerais. During the approach, the boy jumped into the Muriaé River to try to escape, but was caught and captured by the police. Based on the investigations, the team set up a siege and approached the vehicle in the middle of the street. With the man, the police found approximately half a kilo of "dry", a type of synthetic drug. According to delegate Glaydson Ferreira, the narcotics seized was valued at R$15,000, and a kilogram of the substance could reach R$30,000. "It is a narcotic substance with high commercial value, normally associated with a public with greater purchasing power, due to its high price on the illicit market", explained the delegate. The young man was taken to the police station along with the seized material. He was then taken to the Safira Prison, in Muriaé, where he will remain at the disposal of the Justice Department.
