A failure in the overhead network of Line 10-Turquoise of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) caused slow train circulation and disruption for passengers on Monday morning (15).
According to CPTM, the problem was identified around 6:40 am in the Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André Station region, towards Brás. Due to the incident, maintenance teams were called to work on site.
The company reported that trains started to run at reduced speed and had longer stopping times on platforms between Santo André and São Caetano stations, on ABC Paulista.
In a note, CPTM informed that, due to technical problems in the energy system, trains on Line 10-Turquoise operated with longer intervals between the Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André and São Caetano do Sul-Prefeito Walter Braido stations.

Videos sent show passengers reporting that train circulation was interrupted on some sections of the line (see above).
Passenger Tatiane de Paula Lopes stated that she heard a loud bang moments after a train departed.
"There was a big explosion as soon as the train left Utinga station," he reported.
According to the passenger, the train was stopped between Utinga and São Caetano stations. She also stated that the train's air conditioning system was turned off during the trip interruption.
Until the last update of this report, the operation of Line 10-Turquoise continued with restrictions.
