After receiving the first information about the disappearance of the fishermen, Raposa City Hall began monitoring the case through the Municipal Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture and the Municipal Department of Public Security. The municipality also activated the Air Tactical Center (CTA), which provided support to search operations carried out in the region.
According to reports from the fishermen themselves, the accident happened while the crew was resting. In a video recorded after the rescue, one of the survivors said that the vessel began to fail and sank quickly. Unable to return to shore, the workers remained at sea awaiting help.
To increase their chances of survival, the fishermen stayed together and used a buoy as support until they were located by rescue teams. Throughout the search period, family members followed the information with apprehension.
Confirmation of the rescue of the fishermen was made by Raposa City Hall, which thanked the work of the teams involved in the operation, the support of the authorities and the mobilization of the population, which followed the case.
