Despite the new value, the city hall informed that it will increase the municipal subsidy to R$ 1.50 per ticket. Therefore, the user must pay R$5.50 for public transport. The measure, according to the Executive, seeks to reduce the impact of the readjustment on the population.

The benefit for students was maintained. The student fee will remain at R$4.40, in accordance with current legislation, without changes with the new update.
The city hall states that the adjustment is linked to a broader strategy to improve public transport, which includes renewing the fleet and investing in the operation of the system. Among the planned actions is the introduction of 80 new buses, announced for the start of the new fare.
According to the administration, the expansion of the subsidy and the updating of the tariff aim to guarantee the maintenance of the service and enable improvements in the quality of transport offered to the population.
