Due to the injury, Robson underwent a surgical procedure considered simple by doctors. However, the priest was diagnosed with thromboembolism, which is the obstruction of a blood vessel by a clot (thrombus) that breaks off and travels through the bloodstream. He was later sent to Ukraine after a lottery for training at the Khmelnytskyi seminary, one of the country's dioceses.
