Man arrested for killing neighbor after fight over water in Guarujá, SP After almost two months on the run, Francisco de Assis Lopes dos Santos, 65, was arrested accused of killing his neighbor Sabrina da Silva, 42, with a shot to the head during a fight over water in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo. The crime took place on April 27, near Avenida Vereador Lydio Martins Corrêa. According to investigations, Sabrina owned the property next to the suspect's and the two were involved in a conflict related to the water supply. According to information from TV Tribuna, a Globo affiliate, the man confessed to the crime and said he wanted to hit Sabrina's companion when he fired the shots. The suspect was located on Friday (12), in Peruíbe. After his capture, he was taken to the Guarujá Police Station, where he remained at the disposal of the Justice Department to answer for the crime. According to the woman, the suspect had closed the water hose at Sabrina's house so that only his tenant's residence would be supplied with water. The witness highlighted that he even removed the victim from the scene, but she returned alone to give the hose to her husband to fix. A few minutes later, she heard Sabrina scream: "For God's sake, don't do that", followed by three gunshots. The woman went to see what had happened and found her friend lying on the ground, while the suspect and her husband fled the scene. At the time, Guarujá City Hall reported that the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called to assist a victim in serious condition. According to the municipal administration, the team provided first aid at the scene and took the woman to Santo Amaro Hospital (HSA). In a note, the health unit explained that the woman was admitted already intubated, with a gunshot wound to the head. "The patient underwent a CT scan, but subsequently died," the hospital said.
