In bungee jumping, an elastic rope is used, which makes the person bounce (go up and down) several times after the jump. In rope jumping, the system is similar to climbing. Six people were arrested and three remained in prison for the accident, which is being investigated by the Civil Police. Limeira City Hall informed that it will sue the federal government for failure to act. The municipality claims that the bridge belongs to the Union and that it had already requested measures to control access and reinforce security in the area.
