Tucano City Hall continues to advance in preparations for the realization of Arraiá das Águas Quentes, recognized as the largest pre-São João in Bahia. With the expectation of receiving around 60 thousand people per day during the four days of celebration, the municipal management has mobilized several departments to guarantee an organized, safe and prepared structure to welcome residents and visitors.
Consolidated as one of the main events on the Bahian June calendar, Arraiá das Águas Quentes attracts thousands of people from different cities in Bahia and other states, strengthening northeastern culture and boosting the local economy through tourism, hotels, commerce and the provision of services.
This year's program brings together prominent attractions from the national scene, reinforcing the dimension of the event as one of the most important June festivities in Bahia. Among the confirmed artists are Devinho Novaes, Rey Vaqueiro, Eduardo Costa, Vitinho Forró, Adelmário Coelho, Toque Dez, Tarcísio do Acordeon, Calcinha Preta, João Gomes, Zé Neto and Cristiano, and Zé Vaqueiro.
The party also values local talents, strengthening the municipality's cultural identity and opening up space for artists from the region. Among the confirmed local attractions are Samuca, Rodriguinho, Bruno Cabral and Jurandy da Feira.
To ensure the success of the event, the City Hall has been carrying out integrated planning that involves different areas of the municipal administration. Among the actions developed are the organization of urban mobility, definition of parking areas, reinforcement of signage, organization of access and structuring of spaces that will receive the pre-São João program.
The security scheme was also expanded to ensure peace of mind for the public during the festivities. The operation will feature reinforced personnel from the Military Police, Municipal Civil Guard and support teams, in addition to the presence of the Fire Department, which will provide a specialized structure to prevent and respond to incidents during the four days of celebration.
As part of the innovations implemented for this edition of Arraiá das Águas Quentes, the event will feature facial recognition cameras installed at the entrances to the party circuit. The technology will be integrated into the public security system of the State of Bahia and made available through joint action between the Civil Police of Bahia and the Military Police of Bahia.
Furthermore, the event's internal area will feature cameras equipped with artificial intelligence for real-time monitoring. The system will be administered by the Municipal Department of Traffic and Public Security, in partnership with the Municipal Civil Guard, expanding the teams' surveillance and response capacity during the festivities.
"We are working in an integrated manner to hold a safe, organized and prepared party to receive thousands of people. Arraiá das Águas Quentes is a cultural heritage of Tucano and also an important tool for generating employment, income and strengthening local tourism. Our commitment is to offer a positive experience for residents and visitors, with security, hospitality and a structure that matches the grandeur of the event", highlighted Mayor Ricardo Maia Filho.

Another important front involves social assistance actions, which will be present during the event through initiatives aimed at welcoming and supporting the population. The proposal is to strengthen the service network and ensure a safer and more accessible environment for residents and visitors.
The preparatory actions also include sustainability and productive inclusion initiatives. Through the Municipal Environment Secretariat, accreditation is being carried out for collectors of recyclable materials who will work during the festivities. The measure seeks to encourage selective collection, promote the appropriate disposal of waste generated during the festival and create income generation opportunities for municipal workers.
The Secretariat of Administration and Tourism plays a strategic role in organizing the event, conducting dialogue with the tourist trade and monitoring the demands of the local hotel chain. The work includes monitoring the occupancy of hotels and inns, liaising with entrepreneurs in the sector and developing actions aimed at strengthening tourist activity during the Arraiá das Águas Quentes period.
In addition to celebrating June traditions and valuing the municipality's cultural identity, the largest pre-São João da Bahia represents an important vector of economic development. The expectation is for a significant increase in the movement of the hotel chain, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, transport services and commerce in general, generating jobs, income and opportunities for the population.
According to the Communication Department of the City of Tucano, the integrated planning between the departments aims to offer an increasingly organized, safe, sustainable and welcoming party, consolidating the municipality as one of the main references for June festivities in Bahia.
The official program of Arraiá das Águas Quentes is now available on the official channels of the City of Tucano and on the event's social networks. Those interested can follow the attractions, news and other information through the official profiles, where guidance on traffic, safety, services and operation of the structure set up to welcome the public during the four days of the festival will also be published.
