Death of Nahel: why the Court of Cassation overturned the decision not to consider the police officer’s “homicidal intent”

In an expected judgment, the highest French court took the opposite view of the decision of the investigating chamber of the Court of Appeal of Versailles, which will have to once again examine the intention to kill attributed to the police officer responsible for the shooting which led to the death of the young man, opening the way to several days of riots.
