🥾🤠👖Have you ever imagined doing squats, lifting weights or facing an intense CrossFit workout wearing boots, a hat and jeans? The look inspired by the agricultural universe has attracted attention on social media and helped to popularize a new trend among practitioners of the sport in different regions of the country.
Videos that mix high-intensity exercises with typical farmhand and cowboy clothing accumulate thousands of views and arouse the curiosity of those who follow the sport. Despite the unusual aesthetic, the proposal goes beyond clothing (watch above).
One of those responsible for popularizing the movement is physical educator and businessman Zanca, 36 years old, owner of crossfit gyms in Cuiabá and São Paulo. Known on social media for his videos wearing a hat, boots and jeans, he claims that the idea came up during an elite category competition.
According to Zanca, the choice of look was a way of showing his essence to the public and repositioning himself within the crossfit scene.
"I wanted to take God's message and rekindle the essence of CrossFit, which is having fun, community, friends. I wanted to rescue that, but I didn't imagine it would reach this proportion at a national level", he stated.

To g1, he explained that the use of the pieces is more related to personal identity and content production than to the sport itself. Despite the repercussion, Zanca highlights that the clothing is not recommended for everyday training and is only aesthetic in nature.
Having participated in CrossFit competitions in different Brazilian states, he believes that the success of the videos is linked to the public's identification with values such as friendship, fun and a sense of community, characteristics that, according to him, are part of the essence of the sport.

The phenomenon gained strength on social media and led to more and more practitioners adopting the country aesthetic in videos and events, transforming the cowboy look into one of the most talked about trends in the fitness world in recent months.
According to Zanca, many of his students started to incorporate elements of the style in recordings for social networks and in competitions in the sport.
For him, membership happened spontaneously, driven by the practitioners' identification with the proposal to value the CrossFit community and the culture linked to agriculture, which is strong in Mato Grosso.
