During a speech at the event, held at the headquarters of a samba school, the pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic defended the flexibility of environmental licenses for agribusiness and mining activities. Wearing a t-shirt with the phrase “The Amazon is ours”, the senator stated that he intends to 'modernize the legislation'. “We are going to work hard to modernize the government, modernize legislation, so that licenses can be granted to anyone who wants to plant, whoever wants to raise livestock, whoever wants to legally explore the subsoil,” he said.
