The Ecovias concessionaire completed the installation, on the Anchieta-Imigrantes section, of the electronic system known as follow easy, for automatic toll collection. The equipment is at km 33 of Via Anchieta and km 19 of Rodovia dos Imigrantes, in both directions. The devices will still undergo testing and, for now, will not charge users. MPF takes action so that Free Flow can operate immediately at a discount. Siga Fácil will replace the current squares located at kilometers 32 of Imigrantes and 31 of Anchieta, which will be deactivated. "This stage aims to validate the functioning of the technology in real traffic conditions. The system undergoes tests to check the reading of tags and plates and prepare the transition to the new model", stated the managing director of Ecovias Imigrantes, Ronald Marangon. The equipment uses identification technology through cameras, sensors and antennas capable of automatically identifying vehicles by reading license plates and electronic tags, including in conditions of high speed, fog or heavy traffic. The system was developed by the government of São Paulo.
