According to Fecomércio, the adjustment recorded in most of the products that make up the basket has an even greater impact in the case of foods subject to seasonal production and supply factors. According to Fecomércio's institutional advisor, Egídio Garó, the tendency is for prices to continue to vary in the coming periods. "It is estimated that the cost of the basket of food, cleaning and hygiene materials will undergo slight changes in the coming periods with the increase in prices, taking into account periods of seasonality in production, as well as what can be observed in tomatoes, potatoes, milk and other items analyzed", he explained.
