The National Executive of the MDB defined this Thursday (11) an action plan to pacify the internal disputes that have worsened, in recent weeks, in the party's directory in the Federal District. In practice, the national management of the MDB decided that it will participate in the decision-making process of the candidacies and coalitions that the party will form in the DF for the elections in October this year. The uncertainty even affects the dispute for the DF government. One wing of the party intends to continue supporting the re-election of governor Celina Leão (PP), while another defends the launch of its own candidacy (understand below). "The MDB will continue with negotiations to form an alliance with governor Celina Leão, aiming at the presence of the MDB on the ticket for the Senate with the pre-candidacy of former governor Ibaneis Rocha", says the note released by the party. These negotiations will be coordinated by the leader of the MDB in the Chamber, deputy Isnaldo Bulhões (AL) – who already led this Thursday's pacification meeting. It will be up to the parliamentarian to organize a commission with five members from the different "currents" of the MDB in the Federal District. This group will have to reach a consensus on alliances with the other parties. The results will be announced during the party conventions period, between July 20th and August 5th. The party's decision also keeps the current president of the MDB-DF, district deputy Wellington Luiz, in office. According to the party, there was no formal request for intervention or dismissal of the politician.
