Cleocir's nephew, Rafael Iarchescki, says that the man used to report dangerous situations in traffic. "He always commented that he had problems with pedestrians on the bike path. One day he almost fell, the next he almost ran over. It was constant", said the family member. The Civil Police investigates the case. VIDEO: Friends stop in a bike lane to take photos and are investigated for manslaughter after the death of a cyclist The women are residents of Carazinho, a city neighboring Passo Fundo, and had gone there to take photos for social media. Their identities were not revealed and are expected to give evidence this week. The police investigate them for manslaughter, when there is no intention to kill. The delegate responsible for the investigation, Daniela Mineto, states that the pedestrians' conduct was inappropriate and caused the victim to fall. Understand why friends who took photos on a bike path are being investigated for manslaughter "We collected some images that show shortly before the accident, where the two pedestrians who were at the scene acted in a manner in which we understand that they were probably responsible for the death of this cyclist", he declared. Passo Fundo has more than 37 kilometers of cycling network. On older stretches, the division between cyclists and pedestrians is not always defined. The municipal secretary of Public Security, Tadeu Trindade, highlights the rules for using exclusive spaces. "Today we have cycle lanes that are exclusively for cyclists, there cannot be pedestrians there. In these cases where there is no truck lane, the pedestrian needs to use the public sidewalk", he explained.
