The Senate Constitution and Justice Committee approved this Wednesday (10) the proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC) that grants full and parity retirement to health workers and those fighting endemic diseases. The vote was symbolic and the matter goes to the Senate for consideration.
The impact estimated by the Ministry of Finance is R$99 billion. This Tuesday (9), minister Dario Durigan met with the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) to discuss projects sensitive to the economic team due to their high impact on public accounts and the PEC was one of the topics.
According to the Senate president's interlocutors, despite the senators having approved the break in the interval — which allows the PEC to go to the plenary — Alcolumbre should not put it on this week's agenda.
According to the text, agents now have the right to retirement at a minimum age of 57 for women and 60 for men, conditioned on 25 years of contributions and effective performance in the activity.
The PEC also determines that the period served in a class mandate and the time in which the server was readapted to another role due to an accident at work, occupational illness or work-related illness are considered for retirement.
The proposal applies to both agents linked to the Social Security Regime (RPPS) and the General Social Security Regime (RGPS), with specific transition rules, age scaling and a points system.
Furthermore, it regulates the regularization of the employment relationship of these professionals and establishes financial measures involving the Union, states, Federal District and municipalities, including contributions to the RGPS Fund
