A verdict will be handed down at the Kyoto District Court on the 14th in a lawsuit in which more than 3,400 residents of Kyoto and other areas requested an injunction to stop the operation of Kansai Electric Power's Ohi Nuclear Power Plant in Fukui Prefecture. The court's decision will be closely watched as the issue is whether earthquake and evacuation countermeasures are sufficient.
