Thanks to the semiconductor boom, exports in early July (1st to 10th) reached an all-time high. As the semiconductor boom is expected to continue in the second half of this year (July to December), expectations are growing that annual exports will reach $1 trillion. According to the ‘Export and Import Status’ announced by the Korea Customs Service on the 13th, the export amount from the 1st to the 10th of this month was 29.839 billion dollars, a 53.9% increase from a year ago. As of the 1st to 10th of every month, it is the largest ever and is 4.4% higher than the previous highest, last month ($28.581 billion). The number of operating days was 8.5 days, the same as last year, and the average daily export amount was $3.51 billion, up 53.9% from the previous year. In the second half of the year, semiconductors are also playing a significant role in contributing to exports. Semiconductor exports from the 1st to the 10th of this month reached a record high of $11.27 billion, up 193.0% from a year ago. The share of total exports also increased by 17.8 percentage points to 37.6%. About 70% of the total export increase came from semiconductors. A simple calculation of the Korea Customs Service's figures shows that all items except semiconductors are
