Supreme Court orders retrial of Gifu garbage treatment facility fire trial

In a lawsuit in which the city of Gifu sought compensation for damages from a company that had outsourced operation and management over a fire that occurred at a garbage processing facility in Gifu City 11 years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that the second trial's decision not to recognize the cost of demolition of the facility as damage caused by the fire was illegal, and ordered a new trial.
