Reporter Seong Dong-hoon The National Human Rights Commission of Korea decided that in order to promote the human rights of military cadets, an independent human rights guarantee organization should be established at the military academy and life discipline should be improved. The Human Rights Commission announced on the 6th that it recommended these contents to the Minister of National Defense on the 26th of last month. This recommendation was made through the ‘Survey on Cadets’ Human Rights Situation and Human Rights Awareness’ conducted by the Human Rights Commission last year, expert meetings, and policy discussions.
