Amidst a number of incidents in Tokyo, including robberies believed to be carried out by Tokuryu, an anonymous and mobile criminal group targeting gold transaction sites, the Metropolitan Police Department is conducting raids on more than 10 companies in Tokyo that handle gold bullion, based on the Secondhand Goods Business Act. The aim is to strengthen countermeasures through understanding the actual status of transactions and providing crime prevention guidance.
