Several heads of state are expected this Thursday, June 18 in Accra for the second day of the summit devoted to reparations linked to slavery and colonialism. After a first day of technical discussions behind closed doors, it is now time for political leaders, with one objective: to try to transform into concrete measures the momentum created by the recent United Nations resolution on the consequences of slavery. On the Ghanaian coast, in Cape Coast, where the history of the slave trade remains omnipresent, the debate finds particular resonance.
