One of the attractions on Wednesday night (17) makes its debut on the main stage of Parque do Povo, during O Maior São João do Mundo, in Campina Grande. Singer Michelle Andrade arrives at the party with a special repertoire and elements from the “Michelle no Sertão das Maravilhas” tour, a project that mixes references from northeastern culture with the artist's musical identity.
"Me, with my show, my personality, my way of dressing, with my repertoire, it will be the first time. We are going with the 'Michelle no Sertão das Maravilhas' tour, a recently recorded DVD. There is a scenography that we are going to put on some stages, a giant couscous bowl... And it is obvious that in Campina Grande there will be all the scenography! The repertoire changes completely because we are at a time when we breathe the Northeast, even the DVD was recorded in Cajazeiras, in Paraíba, and we will replicate the structure", said Michelle Andrade to g1.

Another highlight of this Wednesday's program (17) is singer Léo Foguete, who returns to the main stage of Parque do Povo after participating in São João de Campina Grande in 2025. For this year's edition of the party, the artist arrives with new hits in his repertoire and is betting on the reinterpretation of the song “Deixo”, which gained prominence in the voice of Ivete Sangalo, as one of the songs with the potential to rock the public during São João.
"It's a very big responsibility, but it's a dream come true. I remember sometimes that I asked God to sing in Campina Grande. I'm very moved to know that things happened and that God allowed us to make this dream come true. And I'm very happy to be back there one more year. Everyone knows Campina Grande and knows that São João there is incredible. So, it's a dream come true to play in Campina Grande and it's an honor to be able to return there", said the artist to g1.

São João de Campina Grande received the title of the biggest June festival in the country, granted by the Ranking Brasil Institute in July 2022. For the institute, the party's numbers are impressive, which consolidated it as the biggest in the country.
The party began on June 4, 1983 in an improvised way in a hut set up in the area, where Parque do Povo is today, so that people could dance forró. Within five years, the festival was already included in Brazil's tourist calendar. With the success of the party in the first three years, in 1986 the city council began building Parque do Povo, the place where the party continues to take place.
Five years after its creation, São João de Campina Grande was already a party of great proportions due to its name and duration. Therefore, in 1987 the “Biggest São João in the World” was included in the official calendar of the Brazilian Tourism Institute.
In the last edition of the party, in 2024, more than 2.93 million people passed through Parque do Povo during the event. Of the number, more than 80 thousand were tourists, and around 245 thousand day-trippers who traveled to see the festival. The expectation is that the total audience for São João 2025 in Campina Grande will exceed 3 million people.
