Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master Master Bank A former chef who worked at the residence of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of the Master bank, in Angra dos Reis (RJ), reported in a statement to the Federal Police (PF) that he was intimidated after being fired. In 2024, he was confronted by a group who wanted to know if he kept records on his cell phone, such as photographs and videos from the time he worked at the house. The information appears in PF documents made public this Tuesday (16), as determined by Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the case at the Federal Supreme Court (STF). According to the report, the cook was approached by a group of men, among whom was Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, known as Sicário. In testimony, the former employee stated that he was confronted at his new workplace, a hotel also located in Angra dos Reis, two months after his dismissal. "A waitress called me and said they wanted to talk to me. I hadn't seen the number of people who were waiting for me, about seven. A strong young man introduced himself as Emanuel or Manuel and said he had come at the behest of Daniel to find out if I had anything from him or his wife on my cell phone", said the cook. PF says that Daniel Vorcaro paid for Senator Ciro Nogueira's trips to Paris, New York, Lisbon and Courchevel Investigations indicate that Vorcaro had relations with a group nicknamed “The Gang”, which was allegedly paid to intimidate and spy on enemies. Despite this, the document does not present evidence that those responsible for threatening the former employee were part of the same group. The chef said he denied having any record of Daniel Vorcaro or his then wife, Fabíola de Almeida Macedo Vorcaro. Then, according to the report, the man who approached him stated that Daniel had ordered his data to be collected and that he didn't want to have to “come back and get in the way”. The former employee stated that the interaction occurred in a threatening tone and that he was very worried, mainly because he lived with his family nearby. According to the document, he worked at the banker's residence between September 2021 and March 2024. All contact with the boss was mediated by another employee, a butler. Employees were prohibited from making records with cell phones, although the use of the devices was not prohibited. "They were very afraid of us taking a photo of something, but where I was there I only had my dishes. I didn't even have time for anything. I served breakfast at 6 am and then cooked all the meals until dinner", he said. The cook also stated that he knew of another employee who had also been threatened by his former boss. According to him, he was the former commander of one of Vorcaro's vessels, who was dissatisfied with the working conditions. "The captain told our contracting company that he had a lot of footage and a logbook of what happened on the boat and said he was going to show everything. They went after him and then me, who was linked to him", says the statement. Relations with Ciro Nogueira The documents also show that Vorcaro paid almost R$500,000 in travel for senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI) to New York, Paris and Courchevel, and daily stays in a luxury hotel in Lisbon for deputy Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), president of the Chamber. According to the PF, while the parliamentarian worked in the Senate to defend the former banker's interests, Vorcaro reciprocated with financial advantages. Vorcaro is arrested in Brasília (DF).
