According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the vehicle had Santa Maria license plates and was traveling at 198 km/h.

The section where the incident occurred has a speed limit of 100 km/h, which means that the vehicle was traveling at more than 50% above the permitted limit. The infraction is considered very serious, with a fine of R$880.41 and the imposition of seven points on the National Driving License (CNH).
How to prevent accidents on the roads?
According to the PRF, the operation also identified other drivers violating the speed rules along the highway.
The police reported that surveillance with photographic radar is carried out at different points on federal roads, defined based on studies that indicate places with the highest occurrence of serious accidents and fatalities.
