The Congolese Parliament adopted a bill on June 15, 2026 setting the conditions for organizing the referendum in the DRC, during the last session of the ordinary session, which takes place from March to June. The text, adopted by the National Assembly and the Senate in identical terms, will be transmitted in the coming days, for promulgation, to the Head of State, accused by the opposition of wanting to take advantage of it to carry out a third term. But between the signing of the law and the effective organization of a referendum, numerous obstacles remain.
