Students participate in Public Policy Canvas on democracy and digital transformation in Porto Velho Amazon Network The Public Policy Canvas, which is part of the programming of the Amazônia Que Eu Quero project, from the Fundação Rede Amazônica, was held this Monday (15) with students from Escola Major Guapindaia, in Porto Velho. The activity brought together young people to discuss topics related to democracy, technology and citizen participation in the digital environment. The initiative precedes the debate “Democracy in the Digital Era – The Consolidation of Democratic Institutions in the Digital Transformation Environment”, which will be promoted by the Amazônia Que Eu Quero project this Tuesday (16), in the capital of Rondônia. During the meeting, held at Escola Major Guapindaia, students participated in a dynamic based on the Public Policy Canvas methodology, a tool that encourages the collective construction of solutions to challenges faced by society. The activity encouraged young people to reflect on the role of technology in democracy, the impacts of digital transformation and the importance of citizen participation. "We are developing another Public Policy Canvas, which is a space for reflection for these young people. Today we work on an extremely current topic, which invites students to think about democracy, technology and citizen participation. From these discussions, we begin to sharpen our critical outlook and seek solutions to the challenges of our Amazon", highlighted Denis Carvalho, project specialist at Fundação Rede Amazônica. Throughout the activity, students from Escola Major Guapindaia discussed topics such as combating misinformation, responsibility in the use of digital platforms, digital citizenship and strengthening democratic institutions. The proposals prepared during the meeting will contribute to the construction of the Amazônia Que Eu Quero Solutions Booklet, a document that brings together suggestions from the population for the development of the region. With the theme “Democracy in the Digital Era – The Consolidation of Democratic Institutions in the Digital Transformation Environment”, the Amazônia Que Eu Quero project, an initiative by the Rede Amazônica Group developed by the Fundação Rede Amazônica, promotes a debate on democracy, technology and elections. The meeting takes place this Tuesday (16), starting at 4pm, in the Auditorium of the Estrada de Ferro Complex, located on Avenida Farquar, in the Center of Porto Velho.
