The senator and pre-candidate for president, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), confirmed this Monday (15) that the former president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Daniela Marques, should help him in preparing proposals for the economic and social areas of his pre-campaign.
The statement took place during his participation in the VEJA Forum Rumos do Brasil.
“She is close to us here in the campaign and will help me in this economic aspect, but, mainly, in the social responsibility agenda”, he declared.
According to Ana Flor's blog, the former president of Caixa took a six-month leave from Legend, the company she works for, to dedicate herself to the project. Daniella stated that she intends to help formulate a “more austere and virtuous” economic model and had already been working informally with Flávio’s contacts to disseminate economic proposals.

Daniella was appointed president of Caixa by Jair Bolsonaro in June 2022, after the departure of Pedro Guimarães, who left the position after reports of sexual harassment were revealed.
Before taking over the bank, she was special secretary for Productivity and Competitiveness at the Ministry of Economy and, since the beginning of the Bolsonaro government, was part of the team of then minister Paulo Guedes, of whom she was considered one of the main advisors.
At the time of her appointment at Caixa, Daniella stated that she intended to strengthen the bank's governance and create a task force to investigate allegations of harassment. She commanded the institution until the beginning of the Lula government.
The senator highlighted her experience at Caixa, especially in initiatives aimed at women entrepreneurs.
“With the experience she had at Caixa Econômica and with specific programs for women entrepreneurs, she showed how it is possible, with the use of technology, good will and good public policies, to extend a helping hand to those people who want to walk on their own two feet and undertake, but don’t know how,” she stated.
According to Flávio, Daniela will be able to contribute with proposals for microcredit, financial education and reduction of bureaucracy to facilitate the opening and maintenance of small businesses.
