Man attacks ex-partner on the street and steals her car to escape; video shows attacks A woman reported that she was attacked, threatened and robbed by her ex-partner, this Sunday morning (14), in the Londrina neighborhood, in Santa Luzia, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte. A security camera filmed the attacks (see video above). According to the police report, the victim, aged 26, told the Military Police that he was at a country music festival when he started receiving messages from the suspect, identified as Jean Carlos Andrade da Silva, aged 31, during the early hours of the morning. However, when faced with her refusal, her ex began to offend and threaten her via WhatsApp. Ex tried to break into house and stole car After the threats, the young woman decided to leave the event and, upon arriving home, found the suspect waiting for her. The circuit images show the moment he tried to break into the residence and, upon seeing her arrive, he ran towards her to attack her with punches, slaps and kicks. According to the woman, during the attacks, the suspect tried to drag her into the residence against her will. The victim told the police that she feared being raped or even killed if she was taken inside the property. According to police records, the attacks only stopped when a neighbor intervened after hearing the calls for help. Afterwards, the man fled with the young woman's car, but was arrested that night in Belo Horizonte (read more below). 'Control and intimidation' The woman called the Military Police by calling 190. The military searched the region, but the suspect was only found hours later. Even after fleeing, he continued calling and making threats, according to the police report. The victim stated that she feared for her own life and said that her ex-partner has maintained a controlling, possessive and intimidating behavior since the separation.
