Disclosure The Pará Finance Department (Sefa) seized, this Saturday (13), 30 tons of açaí pulp during inspection in Cachoeira do Piriá, in the northeast of the state. The cargo is valued at R$433 thousand. According to the Gurupi Transit Goods Control Coordination, responsible for the action, the product left Belém (PA) bound for Caucaia (CE). ✅ Click and follow the g1 PA channel on WhatsApp The invoice presented indicated that the merchandise was organic açaí and that the operation would be a shipment for industrialization, exempt from ICMS. However, during the physical inspection, inspectors discovered that the cargo was, in fact, açaí pulp, a product that is taxed upon interstate exit. “However, when we carried out a physical inspection of the cargo, it was found that it was actually açaí pulp, which is taxed, according to current legislation, when leaving interstate”, explained coordinator Gustavo Bozola. Given the discrepancy between the information on the invoice and the merchandise transported, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up.
