PMRR/Disclosure/Archive A 30-year-old man was arrested this Saturday (13), in Boa Vista, suspected of threatening his own father with a machete and committing ill-treatment against his children, aged 11, 9, 6 and 5. The case occurred in the Aeroporto neighborhood, in the west of the capital. According to the Military Police, the arrest took place around 6 am. According to them, upon arriving at the apartment, he woke up his four children so they could do household chores. When the 6-year-old boy refused to get up, the man grabbed a sandal and said he was going to hit him. The child ran away, when the grandfather tried to intervene. At that moment, according to the report, the man grabbed a machete and tried to attack his father. Now on g1 The grandfather told the police that similar episodes are frequent and that the suspect usually runs away and hides in a wooded area close to the location when he notices the arrival of the Military Police. He fled this Saturday, but returned to the scene while police were still responding to the incident. According to the PM, the suspect resisted the approach and tried to escape even after being handcuffed, but was restrained. He, the children and their grandfather were taken to the police station. The case was registered for the crimes of threat and ill-treatment.
