Families and residents of the Canafístula neighborhood, in Arapiraca, in Agreste de Alagoas, prepared a party to accompany the Brazilian team's debut in the 2026 World Cup. Brazil faces Morocco this Saturday (13), at 7 pm. The neighborhood is traditional and the oldest in the city.
Known for maintaining the tradition of bringing the community together during national team games, the neighborhood gained special decoration with flags, engravings and paintings in green and yellow colors in a square in the region.
The initiative was organized by family members of Emily Targino and Silmara Nunes, who helped mobilize residents and friends to decorate the space.
"It's a special moment. Our uncles had the idea in 2014, when we created the decoration for the first time. Now, in 2026, we return to leaving the square in Brazil's colors to support the team. Family and friends are together in this chain", said Emily.
