This is the fifth football world cup in which the Embassy of Giant Dolls presents giant versions of the athletes during the Brazilian team's games. This Saturday, they will go to Parque Dona Lindu, in the Boa Viagem neighborhood, South Zone of Recife, to celebrate the fans.
"The Embassy's spirit is to record the icons of Brazilian and world culture. They come to life every year at the moment when Brazilians express all their joy, which is Carnival. But there is another moment when Brazilians feel the same energy, which is during the World Cup", explained Leandro Castro, businessman and cultural producer responsible for the Embassy.

The dolls of Vini Jr, two Ronaldos and Pelé are new for this year's tournament. The image of the late "King of Football", in fact, is that of the 1970 World Cup, in which Brazil was three times champion.
Traditional figures from the Pernambuco carnival, each giant doll takes, on average, 40 days to be made. During the World Cup, however, they are done in a shorter period of up to a week.
Leandro's promise is that, with each match, a new doll will be presented. In the next game, against Haiti, on Friday (19), the Embassy will launch the Canarinho doll, the official mascot of the Brazilian team.
