Mother reports kidnapping of daughter and granddaughter after phone call, in Paraná A 29-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter were kidnapped in Ponta Grossa, in Campos Gerais do Paraná. The couple had been separated for 40 days and, according to police, he was "unsatisfied with the end of the relationship." Despite not having witnessed the kidnapping, the woman's mother noticed that the messages sent by her daughter were different and became suspicious. RPC, a TV Globo affiliate in Paraná, had access to the exchange of messages and audio of calls between the two. In the messages, the woman confirmed to her mother that she was being forced by her ex-husband to respond to her that way. She also asked that the police not be called. The ex-husband's arrest took place on Wednesday (10), almost 24 hours after the woman and child were forced to get into the car with him. Until then, the mother and police did not know where the victims were. The two were found in a different neighborhood from the one where they lived in the city. "After investigative steps, the Women's Police Station team located the couple's whereabouts and immediately traveled to the location, rescuing the victim and the child," says the Civil Police note. The man was charged with kidnapping and qualified threat in the context of domestic and family violence against women.
