There was great excitement in Istanbul, as well as throughout Türkiye, for the central exam within the scope of the 2026 High School Transition System (LGS) carried out by the Ministry of National Education. Candidates flocked to the exam centers from the early hours of the morning and were taken into the halls through ID checks before the first session, which started at 09.30. Families who brought their children to Şişli Maçka Pakmaya Hüsamettin Ziler Secondary School waited excitedly on the sidewalks. However, minutes before the exam started, an example of time racing and solidarity was displayed at the school gate.
