As she followed the path, the young woman realized that she was being followed near a gas station. The suspect approached, held the victim by the arm and dragged her towards Manoel Simão Borges Street, where he proceeded to press the teenager against the fence of a residence and carried out lewd acts without her consent. A monitoring camera in the region recorded the moment the teenager was dragged by the suspect. The images, which were not released, were sent to the Civil Police to assist in investigations. Restrained by the victim's boyfriend and father-in-law until the police arrived, the man was arrested in the act. In a statement, the Civil Police reported that the suspect was interviewed through the State Central of Duty Digital. After analyzing the case, the police authority confirmed the arrest for attempted rape. The man was then sent to the prison system, where he remains at the disposal of the courts.
