Anthropic suspended, this Friday (12), access to two of its artificial intelligence (AI) models, in compliance with a national security order from the United States. Just three days after publicly releasing Fable 5, the company stated in a post on its website that it had received a government directive prohibiting all foreign citizens from accessing that model and Mythos 5, for "national security" reasons. The order even applies to Anthropic's foreign employees. "The effect of this order is that we must immediately disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all of our users to ensure compliance," the company stated.
